Is Earth under attack, or is the natural world restoring balance?

 A freak incident reveals the gruesome remnants of a respected farmer and his cattle in an open field under the early morning sun. A belt buckle, a few coins, teeth, hooves... the surrounding earth stained a dull crimson. Vapourised.

 A truly frightening and unique, yet tiny creature begins its inexorable spread. Starting deep in the south, it swarms northward, leaving death and destruction on an epic scale. When the earth, the ground we walk on, becomes uninhabitable, what do we do? Where do we go? Governments, with their vast armies and resources, are ineffectual. Science and technology, along with their grandiose organisations and experts, are rendered useless.

 Regardless of the intentions, the developed world has created the devastating conditions humanity now faces. Survival falls to the everyday person, the resourceful and tough, if there’s any hope at all.

 Humanity faces a future no one wants.
